On 20th January 2020, several members of the Executive Council, namely President Associate Professor Dato' Dr Mohammad Husni Jamal, President - Elect, Dr Wee Eng Chye, Honorary Secretary, Dr S. Kaviyarasan A/L Sailin @ Stalin and Honorary Treasurer, Dr Aishah Binti Md Zain, were granted a royal audience with His Royal Highness D.Y.M.M. Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir at the Istana Hinggap in Seremban.
With the kind assistance of our Honorary Fellow, Professor Dato Dr Hanafiah Harunarashid, AFPM sought the consideration of His Royal Highness to become the Patron. After the second audience on 5 March 2020, D.Y.M.M. Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir graciously accepted to be the Royal Patron of the AFPM.
BIODATA OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS TUANKU MUHRIZ IBNI ALMARHUM TUANKU MUNAWIR
His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz was born on 14 January 1948 and received his early education at Tuanku Muhammad School, Kuala Pilah, then at Tunku Besar Tampin Secondary School and King George V Secondary School in Seremban and later continued his studies at Aldenham School, United Kingdom. He obtained a Law degree from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, Britain. In terms of career, His Royal Highness is a respected businessman.
His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz is married to Her Royal Highness Tunku Ampuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud who is from Terengganu and is blessed with three sons, namely Tunku Ali Redhauddin, Tunku Zain Al’Abidin and Tunku Alif Saifuddin. He was proclaimed the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan on 29 December 2008 at Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Sri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan.
