AFPM Grants
The AFPM research grant was introduced in 2008 with the objective of promoting Primary Care Research in Malaysia. Many of the existing research grants hosted by large organisations target at experienced researchers with a high expectation of research outcomes. In order to encourage primary care projects by novice researchers, the AFPM has decided to create this research grant to help fund projects conducted by members of AFPM.
AFPM PRIMARY CARE RESEARCH GRANT
Objective is to encourage impactful project in primary care settings.

Open to all AFPM ACTIVE MEMBERS.

Allocation is RM25,000/year with maximum RM40,000/project.
If application after annual quorum exceeded, it will be brought to next year. -
For grant application amounted RM10,000 or more, the eligible applicant MUST be AFPM LIFE MEMBER.
ATFM TRAINEES RESEARCH GRANT
Objective is to facilitate the learning of research process & grant application.

Open to Advanced Training in Family Medicine (ATFM) programme's trainees.

Maximum allocation is RM2,000/project with total maximum allocation of RM44,000 for all projects annually.
If the application after annual quorum exceeded, it will be brought to next year.

GRANT APPLICATION

Prior to applying Grant, applicant must be a REGISTERED AFPM MEMBER and status is ACTIVE.

The applicant MUST download the standard application form and submit the form in PDF format. DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMAT.

The application form:
- MUST be submitted via email: mpcrg@afpm.org.my for reviewing process before any grant awarding.
- MUST be filled out with sufficient details of your project as the budget recommendation is depending on your project's suitability, details and transparency.

For grant budget, please adhere to the budget that are COVERED and NON-COVERED as below.
Any budget given in the form that falls under NON-COVERED will automatically be taken out.

Emolument or Incentives for participants are encouraged in items as gifts rather than in cash (if appropriate to your research project)

Enumerator (not exceeding RM3000 per application)

Publication fees (not exceeding RM3000)

Conference registration fees (not exceeding RM1000)

Equipment purchasing (with reasonable excuse and the equipment should be returned to AFPM after project completion)

Transport or travelling expenses for data collection (up to 10% of the total grant)
